If you received or gave your TiVo Mini device as a gift, please make sure that the giver has deactivated the device from their account. They can do this in Manage My Account > Active devices > TiVo Mini VOX > Deactivate.

Sync TiVo Mini LUX or TiVo Mini VOX with your TiVo box.
TiVo EDGE™, TiVo BOLT® and TiVo Roamio® DVR users
TiVo EDGE series, TiVo BOLT series and TiVo Roamio series devices have a Dynamic Tuner Allocation feature. This means you do not have to Allow live TV on other devices on your TiVo box. It's all ready to go and you can skip Step 2 in your TiVo Mini device’s Start Here poster.
TiVo Premiere® users
If connecting your TiVo Mini device to a TiVo Premiere 4 or Premiere XL4, remember to Allow live TV on other devices on your TiVo Premiere series device before setting up your TiVo Mini. This is in Step 2 of the TiVo Mini Start Here poster.
Troubleshooting
If you receive the error message TiVo DVR Not Found during the onscreen guided setup, you must do the following:
- Call TiVo Customer Support at 877-367-8486 to confirm that your TiVo Mini LUX or TiVo Mini VOX and TiVo DVR are correctly synced to the same account.
- Once confirmed, unplug your TiVo Mini device.
- On your host TiVo DVR, go to TiVo Home > Settings & Messages > Settings > Network > Connect to the TiVo Service Now. Repeat this step twice so your TiVo DVR recognizes your new TiVo Mini.
- Plug in your TiVo Mini device.
- The TiVo Mini guided setup process will restart, allowing you to complete the setup process.

To stream live or recorded television to your TiVo Mini, connect your TiVo EDGE series, TiVo BOLT series or TiVo Roamio series device to the internet using one of the following:
Wireless connection
Use the TiVo WiFi 5 USB Adapter™ to wirelessly connect your TiVo Mini to your TiVo EDGE series, TiVo BOLT series or TiVo Roamio series device. TiVo WiFi 5 USB Adapter must be purchased separately.

1. If your TiVo box is connected via wired Ethernet.
If you have Ethernet, you're good to go! Just connect your TiVo Mini device to your TV and enjoy

2. If your TiVo box is connected to your router.
You're all set! Just connect your TiVo Mini device to your other TV and enjoy.
3. If your TiVo box cannot reach your router.
If your TiVo DVR cannot reach your router or it currently uses a wireless adapter, consider using TiVo Bridge to create a simple MoCA network (Ethernet over coax) network connection.
TiVo Bridge establishes a connection between an Ethernet network and your cable modem so that you can access high-speed internet in any room in your house that has a cable outlet.
Using TiVo Mini LUX and TiVo Mini VOX.
Once your TiVo Mini device is set up, you'll enjoy the same powerful experience that you get with your 4-tuner or 6-tuner TiVo DVR in another room. Use your see-in-the-dark TiVo LUX Remote™ with its backlit keypad or the TiVo VOX Remote’s voice control to access live or recorded entertainment, popular streaming apps and on-demand content, all with TiVo’s fan-favorite playback features. With your TiVo Mini device, you can:
- Watch live TV and record shows.
- Access web entertainment from Netflix, Prime Video, HBO GO, Hulu, YouTube, Pandora and more.2
- Enjoy SkipMode® and QuickMode® when connected to TiVo EDGE series, TiVo BOLT series or TiVo Roamio series devices.3
- Browse TV and movies with the TiVo search functionality you know and love.
- Schedule recordings and set up OnePass™ recordings.
- Pause, fast-forward and rewind live TV and recordings.

1 Streaming to other TVs within the home requires a separately purchased TiVo Mini for each TV. A multi-network adapter (sold separately) may be required. The TiVo BOLT works optimally with up to four TiVo Minis, and potentially with up to ten TiVo Minis. 4K ultra high-definition capability requires 4K ultra high-definition content and 4K ultra high-definition capable television. Some apps may have additional 4K Ultra HD requirements and/or limitations.
